Just do what I did when I went and spent 5 large on rims for my truck without asking the wife. First, destroy the receipt and any record of the transaction, then just bring it home like it was always there. When the wife notices (which in the case of a 7 foot statue in the living room, should take as long as noticing huge ass shiny wheels on a truck) just nonchalantly tell her that it was a great deal that you just couldn't pass up, you could even show her the coupon.
Then pray that she doesn't go to the place that you purchased it from and see what the actual price is (which, in my case is a lot easier then you'll have it. It's not every day that the wife travels down to a rim shop in the middle of the 'hood)
Oh, and last, hope that the wife doesn't get pregnant with twins, because the huge shiney wheels that you can only use 8 months out of the year.....I mean the statue....will be one of the first things the wife wants to hock for extra money. [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

mac, usually when i get something expensive like this i just sell some of my other stuff and she doesn't mind so much... i think she's gonna be more upset over the sheer size of this than the price... i keep telling her not to go down in the basement if she doesn't want to see whats down there [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
